 These adorable dogs are named after the Madagascar, Port City of Tulear.

 One of the rarest breeds, the Coton de Tulear was originally restricted to ownership by Royalty.  Later, the social elite were allowed to own these wonderful little dogs.

 It was in 1989 when the 1^st specimen of this breed was introduced to Canada.  They have quickly become a huge demand.

 Coton de Tulear are a small breed of dog making them an ideal choice for apartment or house living.

 The Coton de Tulear is a very lively and quite affectionate pet.  They love to be cuddled and it’s a lot of fun to do , especially when there is little to no shedding.  This quality makes these dogs a great choice where there are allergy concerns.

 As for the colour of the Coton de Tulear it comes in soft shades of white, white with champagne highlights, a dusting of black hair or white and black or brown patches.
